Having tried a few Scandanavian delicacies, similar to Lutefisk, my vote goes
on the slugs as well. Torfisk - sun dried, over a period of months, hake and
other fish is particularly favoured by the inhabitants of Finmark. I have seen
people fighting in a bar over a piece !!!! It smells so bad even the gulls
won't eat it.

Are the slugs really banana flavoured ?
