Thanks to those of you that responded to my message about the CVWMA.

Judging by the responses, this is not a well-know location for subscribers
to Tweeters which is a shame as you are probably missing one of the best
spots in Southern BC.

I encourage any of you planning trips that go by way of Spokane to head
North over the border and into the Kootenay River Valley. From Spokane you
can head north along the Pend Oreille river and then, once in Canada, go
over the Salmo-Creston pass or you can go north-east out of Spokane by way
of Sandpoint to Creston. If you have time to do a loop taking in the
Kootenay and Okanagon valleys and you arm yourself with a copy of "A Birders
Guide to Britsh Columbia" you should get 150 plus species .

If any of you do visit the Wildlife Centre at Creston please... join the
Friends of the Creston Valley Wildlife Area. Unless the politics of running
the CVWMA are sorted out, there is a good chance that we could lose this
area. Getting the politicians to listen is going to take time and in the
interim any operating income that supporters can generate helps to keep the
place going.
