Hello, this is Portland Audubon's Rare Bird Alert. This recording was
made Thursday, June 1st. If you have anything to add, call Harry
Nehls at 233-3976.

A BLACK-THROATED SPARROW was again at the feeders at SE Portland MAY 29,
where it was found a week or so ago. A BALD EAGLE, apparently from the
Ross Island pair, was passing over the West Hill's of Portland several
times during the week, creating much excitement.

A DICKCISSEL was near Big Summit Prairie in the Ochoco Mts. of Crook
County MAY 27. It could not be relocated.

WHITE-THROATED SPARROWS were noted during the week in several areas of
eastern Oregon; the last at Malheur refuge headquarters MAY 26. A
[NORTHERN] SAW-WHET OWL was at headquarters that day. An OVENBIRD was at
headquarters MAY 27. The headquarters GREAT-TAILED GRACKLE remains in
that area. Another was at Page Springs campground MAY 25. On that day a
BLUE-GRAY GNATCATCHER was in the Page Springs canyon. The first [COMMON]
NIGHTHAWK of the season was at Benson Pond MAY 27.

That's it for this week.
