To Nate, Ted, Dennis and all concerned,

The best solution would be a Jurassic Park style 12 ft fence with
gates that let people in via a pass. The Nature Conservancy has been
very aggressive and innovative in dealing with invasive species. Let
them manage the place. You would have to have a pass to get in for
hiking and nature-watching. The price of the pass would be showing a
certificate of having an education in environmental impacts and practical
knowledge of the futility of infinite use of a finite resource.....bitch,
bitch, bitch!

I love Montlake Fill, and have found efforts to protect it and allow it
to restore itself to what it should be for shorebirds, other birds and
critters + a place for respectful people to restore themselves......well
it's a frustration and an exasperation. I don't visit it much
anymore. Caring folks who can visit and report what they see there: birds,
butterflies, things blooming, etc. are appreciated.
