We are repeating the trip down the Yakima River Canyon this Saturday,
June 10. You are invited to join us.

The itinerary is Ellensburg to Selah (near Yakima) with stops along the
canyon. At the Umtanum WMA we will hike a mile or two up the trail to
search for reported Prairie Hawk nestlings (bug repellant rqd). Other stops
along the canyon as whim and sightings dictate.

At Selah we head north to Wenas Lake and the Wenas campground also with
appropriate stops along the way.

At the Wenas campground one contingent will camp overnight the other
contingent will head back to Ellensburg over Ellensburg pass. Side trips
at Wenas as whim/consenous dictates.

Two vehicles are going at present, one starting in the U.District and
heading out I-90 the other starting in Monroe and heading down SR203 and
meeting at North Bend.

Let me know if you would like to join us. If you would like to camp.
What kind of vehicle you drive if you can drive.

Some notable expected sightings are: PRFA nestlings, Mountain Goat
family, Caliope Hummingbird, White-headed Woodpecker, lots of butterflies
and wildflowers.
