For those folks interested in finding black-back or three-toed
woodpeckers in the Methow Valley, try the Thunder Mt Fire area. There
were so many up there last weekend I had to stop counting at 15. We are
interested in doing some studies on birds in the fire areas. If anyone
would like to contribute some expertise, please contact me directly.
