Many of you already know this, but for those who don't, a fine place to see
Bobolinks is in the hay meadows between Palmer Lake and the Toats Coulee
Road in Okanogan County. There were lots of males flying around this
weekend, chasing one another, perching on wires, and occasionally singing
(one of the really fine bird songs); also saw a female carrying a fecal
sac. This county is one of the best parts of the state for birding, I
think, with a great variety of habitats supporting a great variety of
birds.
