Subject: WAMU Peregrine update: Party--Thurs., June 15, 11:30AM

As you've read, the young tiercel flew for the first time Monday 5:45AM.
The young females should go in the next 2 or 3 days. (One seems to be
larger than Belle.) These heavy, young falcons will be subject to GRAVITY
more than the young male. Could be the down...down...down ... kind of
flights that set observers' hearts a-poundin'.

WAMU and the Department of Fish and Wildlife are hosting a Fledging Party
in the WAMU Tower lobby, 1201-3rd, at 11:30AM on Thursday, June 15.
Here's one more chance to check out this Peregrine family. But there's more--

* BUD ANDERSON WILL BE WEARING A TIE! *

This is a major SIGHTING for any local birder, certainly any
raptophiliac! This might be the most unusual observation of the entire
season! Be there Thursday! See ya! --EB
