Well, the first section of shoreline at the main pond has been liberated of
Purple Loosetrife. There is still some to be removed from about 10-15 feet
from the waters edge but there is now a 60 foot stretch of mud should any
shorebirds/ducks/whatever be interested.

Had the first success on the shorebird front last night - 1 spotted sandpiper
right in the middle of the stretch that had just been cleared - nice start.

Muskrats are moving around a lot in the late evening. I've seen 2-3 around
the main pond over the last couple of days.

Two days and counting......
