I know this is short notice...
Saturday the Nature Conservancy and DNR is sponsoring a Knapweed pulling
festival at Larkspur Meadows Preserve near Leavenworth. This area is known by
many as "Camas Meadows". The preserve was set aside for a rare species of
delphinium- Wenatchee Larkspur and other wondrous species. The Camas is still
in bloom! Potential to see elk, deer, coyotes, and LOTS OF BIRDS. There are
white-headed woodpeckers and sapsuckers in the area. If interested in
participating please call the Nature Conservancy Seattle Office at 206-343-4345
X312 or Steve Dang at 206-937-3298.
Roger
