Tweeters,

Not much new to report on the female Peregrine brought tothe zoo for
treatment. As of Saturday morning she is no longer being given oxygen, but
is still unable to eat on her own due to the fungal plaque blockage. The
hope is that the blockage will recede with the antibiotic treatment. She is
alert and feisty, attempting to bite the staff during feeding. More as there
are new developments.

It is interesting to observe that despite all the scientific training, the
desire to save species and the resistance to anthropromorphising how quickly
we become attached to individual animals. Maybe thats what really makes it
all work.
