Subject: Corvid table manners and overlapping econiches

Since there seems to be this thread forming about the dietary preferences
and "table manners" of crows and ravens... Seen at c.10:30 am today, on
the rail tracks that run between the road and the river up the Pend
Oreille valley: four ravens and one Turkey Vulture, all in a huddle just
inches from one another, converting a "rail kill" of some kind into
life-sustaining energy, and much too busy to quarrel about it.
