Subject: RBA: No Chestnut-sided Warbler, But--

Hi Tweeters,

The male Chestnut-sided Warbler at NW Marine Dr. on Point Grey in Vancouver
BC was not there this morning as of 7.30 AM, and was present yesterday,
Thursday, from 10 AM to 6.30 PM, but Patagonia Picnic Tables rained down and
VCR's first confirmed *Williamson's Sapsucker* was in the trees of the same
small clearing.

A small personal note: that was a *very* nice bird yesterday, incessantly
advertising at the top of his little lungs, and giving people, including
your humble observer, close views.

As the wingbars were white with the barest tinge of yellow, and the back
didn't show but the barest tinge of olive green, I *think* it might have
been an Alternate 1 bird rather than a definitive adult. Otherwise, it was a
convential CSWA. Any wisdom out there in Tweetersville on aging this sp.?

In another *very* good rarity for VCR yesterday, a Lark Sparrow was around
the green oil tanks along the road to Iona Is. in Richmond. The beat goes on.

Cheers,

Michael Price
