Why rescue a Peregrine; probably because if we try to help eventually we
will be rewarded. An item on our local news prompted this response. A pair
of Peregrines have nested on a building in downtown Toronto and are
becomming quite an attraction. Why the fuss; apparently this is the first
breeding pair in southern Ontario in 40 years. I know one pair doesn't mean
a species recovery but, on the other hand, if the use of DDT et al had not
been controlled there may not have been a pair to breed.
