Tweets,

I'm interested in taking some kind of action to improve wildlife habitat in
the city, so I'm asking if anyone can help (with advice) on how to proceed when
discussing with an employer their use of herbicides:

The UW Medical Center poisoned the "weeds", at least around the north bike
racks, over the weekend. I've not noticed the resident White-crowned Sparrows
(pugetensis/nuttalli subspecies) singing this morning (I know it is very
unlikely they would've been killed off that easily). My hope is to use a
positive, yet effective, approach to enlighten the facilities management to
better means of weed control (like good old fashioned PULLING - hey, is Stuart
back yet?).

I'm also interested in how the tweeters community feels about organic means
of pest and weed control... I would expect that this is very germane to our
interest.
