There's safety in numbers; i.e., form a committee of equally concerned
people
and then meet with the head of the Medical Center buildings & grounds.
It's
beaurocratic but one voice crying in the wilderness won't work. Most
building & grounds people are totally unaware of the environmental
repercussions of their routine work. Here at Sand Point we got the
maintenance people to delay their annual (but fruitless) forays against
SCBR (Scots Broom) until SASP had
fledged. Our Wildlife Committee is usually consulted on other disturbances
as
well. However, it's mandatory that you have a proposed solution to any
problem you've identified.
