I just came back from vacation - I haven't gone looking to see if the
Clay-colored Sparrow is still around, but the nighthawks are back in
droves. Walk through the clearcut in the evening, or in any of the
immediately adjacent neighborhoods. They must be nesting somewhere
nearby - on the ground in the clearcuts? How does one verify nesting
in nighthawks?
