Tweeters,

Good news and bad. Eyass #1 is responding to treatment with anitbiotics and
parasitics. The vets indicate that the lesion at the back of her throat is
becoming more defined and may be able to be lanced soon. Both birds are being
fed four times a day and seem to be holding their weights (with occasional
small gains). Prognisis still guarded,

No. 2 does not seem to be responding to treatment, possibly because the
infection may have had longer to take hold. Her left eye is only half open
and her eye somewhat sunken. The swelling increased somewhat over the
weekend. Her prognosis is no more than 50-50 at best.

More later. Thanks for all the comments and discussion. The civil
interchange is what makes tweeters so valuable. The occasional delightful
word play is a bonus.
