Sure is, Andy. In July--Sept, there's a number of hatches and nuptial
flights of ants & termites here on the residential W side of Vancouver BC,
and a frequent sight at that time of year in hot, dry weather is crowds of
hundreds of Ring-billed, scores of California, scores of Bonaparte's, even
the odd pre-basic 1 Franklin's in Aug. a few times over the last decade, all
hawking these hatches from early aft to well into the evening over the
houses. Even the Glaucous-winged Gulls lumber around like B-29's trying to
look like Barn Swallows. Pretty amazing sight, all told.

I'd wonder if the same thing the gulls are hawking may be the same insect(s)
that have attracted the Nashville Warblers into the coniferous forests.
