Tweeters,

Not much new to report. Both birds getting food and medication four times
daily. Still waiting for the necrotic tissue to slough off to determine the
level of long term damage. If the holes are not too large and do not impare
their ability to use their beaks they may be releasable and have a chance to
survive on their own.

The first bird seems to be responding. She was given pieces of quail and
ingested some on her own. The second bird ignored the quail. When the
second bird was brought inthere was some concern that she might have lost
sight on the left side. Her responses now idicate that she is using both
eyes. The prognosis on both is still listed as guarded.

Mike Waller or MIWA to the initiated.
