As usual with environmental battles, there are only stalemates or temporary
victories, rarely won wars. A (presumably) modified rescissions bill is
still with us, still with Gorton's timber-salvage rider. We have to keep
trying to fight this.

Call Patty Murray's office (202-224-2621) and assure her you support her
strong stand against the "logging without laws" rider.
