By compromising with the Republicans on the recision bill, Clinton has
reinstated the Gorton salvage logging provision. In case you don't know
this will allow the construction of roads onto established wilderness lands
without any review or legal appeal. Clinton claims he won't allow abuses; I
can't wait to see the abuses of the next administration. I think this
removes all doubt in my mind; Bill Clinton does not care about the environment.
