After hearing about Dick's report I went and tried to locate the bird. All
I found were about half a dozen Western Meadowlarks. I run into Dick at
the local CD store here is West Seattle a couple of weeks ago and he told
me that he relocated the birds in about the same place. He got better
looks at it the second time around. He said the plumage all added up to
Eastern Meadowlark, restricted yellow on the throat and more white in the
tail. He told me that he would not be convinced until it sang, which it
never did. I called all the local birders up there and alerted them to be
on the look out for it.
