Band-tailed Pigeons do not seem closely tied to oaks in Washington, I
agree, but perhaps "loosely" attached? I have never seen one in Yakima
County (there are records, however). In Klickitat County, I find them
regular as far east as White Salmon, which is the east end of where
broadleaf maple is common in the Columbia Gorge. Just a thought...might
BTP habitat in WA be tied to this magnificent tree?
