I went on the Jetty Island work party with John on Tuesday. Be prepared
for a good days work. Bring a sturdy spade, shovel or potato fork for
uprooting Scots Broom. Rake for raking up debris and a tarp and rope to
gather and move the debris. A peavey and/or large crowbar would be nice for
moving some driftwood logs. Work gloves a must.

You will be stranded on the island for six hours, so bring food, water
and clothing accordingly. Also remember you will be walking a mile or so
lugging everthing you bring. (Well it seemed like a mile.)

It was a fun day even though I still ache. Other commitments prevent me
from going back otherwise I would be there tomorrow.
