Pelagic trip: Sunday, April 9, 1995
Newport, Lincoln Co., Oregon

The March pelagic trip is filled, so it is time to start thinking
about the April trip.

Few birding trips have gone offshore out of Oregon in early April.
(Has anyone on OBOL been on an April pelagic?) Shearwater numbers
should be up. Most of Oregon's alcids should be seen, including
Tufted Puffins and late Ancient Murrelets. It may not be too late
for Laysan Albatrosses either. Near shore and in the bay should be
excellent for migrant loons and waterfowl.

If weather forces a cancellation of the March trip, those of you
signed up in March may want to look at your calendars to see if the
April trip will work for you as a back up.

This 8 hour trip will leave port at 7:30 AM, and travel out about
25 miles. Cost: $37.50
