There has been talk lately about Band-tailed pigeons- it seems
that there maybe questions about their current status. All the research
i have read and heard (in the halls of various research institutions) is
that they are indeed declining. The Breeding Bird Survey data clearly
indicates a decline- perhaps due to Stellar's Jay (?).
