This morning I went to see the blackthroated blue warbler at Lola Smith's
in Olympia. Lola was quite concerned that a couple of people who had not
called her were walking around the retirement community looking for the
bird. It is very important to her to protect the privacy of her
neighbors. She welcomes people who call to make arrangements for viewing,
but let me stress
again that she does not want birders arriving without prior notification.
