I must admit I am doubtful here, because I am not sure of what a Collared Dove
is !
I guess that is one of the two (northern) european _Streptopelia_ species.
If it is the sedentary species which has spread from south-eastern Europe in
this century, then it is _Streptopelia decaocto_;
If it is the migratory species, heavily slaughtered by french hunters of the
Medoc in early may (by the way, I haven't succeeded in stopping my Medoc
consumption despite this fact :-), then it is _Streptopelia turtur_.
Hope a little nostalgy for Europe doesn't bore north-american guys too much :-)
