Dean, As a Polack, I have to respond! 1)The Lake reion N and E of Warsaw
is an important region during the breeding season. 2)Also Pusczca
Biawoviesza (spelling is close, means "White Forest") with its bison and
primeval temperate and coniferous forests are good also. 3) The
Carpathians in the south harbor mountain birds. Nearby, 4) the Dunajecs
River with is rafting trips, though touristy are great. Black Storks along
this stretch. 5) The N shores near Gdansk are good also for birds of the
coast. Check Gooders Where to Find Birds in Europe for info. Go easy on
the vodka, and watch carefully for cops if you approach and want to pass a
horse drawn cart!
