I don't know if tweets is an appropiate location to speak of this, (my apologies
if it is inappropriate) but...
Initiative 640 is in the process of collecting signatures. The initiative
directs the Dept. Fish and Wildlife to stop licensing fishing gear that has
by-catch waste of over 15%. It is designed to save birds and Marine mammals.
This would make gill nets illegal in Washington State. There are some other
particulars of the initiative but I won't go into them here. It is organized by
a group called "Save Our Sealife". I'll admit I do not know much about the
