Some of us not-yet-middle-aged know about the Spruce Goose. Some of us
young'uns have even touched it.

Then again, I can tell what kind of plane is flying thousands of feet above
me much easier than I can tell what kind of dang sparrow is sitting 2 feet from
me!

This morning, 7 crows sat and watched me tug the garbage can out to the curb.
I made sure to snap the lid shut tightly. Some days we come home to 50% of
the neighbor's trash strewn across the road, and 20 or 30 crows having a grand
feast. The little devils didn't even wait for me to drive away before coming
to investigate the can. They were foiled, though, and flapped off to some
other, sloppily attended, trash can.
