The ONLY place I know of in Oregon where Black Swifts can be
seen regularly is Salt Creek Falls, which is not too far SE
of Oakridge along Highway 58 on the way to Klamath Falls. Black
Swifts are seen irregularly in other places. We haven't figured
out why they seem to be so rare here when there are sites both
north and south of Oregon where they nest.
