About every other year I go through a period of consternation about how to
best utilize field notes. The result is I have about five sets of notes in
different forms which I find hard to manage. I was hoping some tweets might
have input on 1) what you use for field notes (size of notebook, bound vs.
looseleaf, etc.); the kind of daily notes, if any, you write and how do
you do them efficiently; and 3) in looking back at your notes, what has
been most useful, other than listing species, locations, etc. I use
AVISYS for listing and location data, but I would like to get back to
making *field* notes and I thought some tweeter-based inspiration might
help. Thanks in advance.
