Male Falcated Teal relocated again yesterday at Grice Bay, about 3 miles s.
of Tofino, and not far from its usual haunts off the end of Sharp Road, which
is about 2 miles s. of Tofino.

Massive concentration of gulls along the SE shoreline of Vancouver Is. from
Parksville to Deep Bay...estimated in the "tens of thousands and perhaps
exceeding 100,000" Mostly Mew, Glaucous-winged and (presuamably)
California. Only 10 Bonaparte's and 1 Glaucous could be picked out of the
crowd on March 23. Also there are "thousands" of sea ducks, including
Oldsquaw, Gr. Scaup, and the three scoter species, among others. All feeding
on herring/herring spawn. Apparently a spectacular site and worth a trip.

Gotta run; post me if you want further directions.
