I am looking for historical information on birds in the
Commencement Bay area (near Tacoma). As part of an EIS to develop a
restoration plan for Commencement Bay, we
are doing an overview of historical bird use (both species
type and abundance) in the Estuary. We are looking at the
changes in diversity and abundance through time. This can
be for both resident populations or migratory. We will
also have a section on what seems to limiting factors
currently in the Bay and suggestions for greatest "bang for
the buck" restoration oppertunities. I am thanking you in
advance for your help.
