I can also recommend Guadalupe canyon if you do much eastern side (of SW
Ariz.) birding. Follow the creek bed up a mile or so parallel to the
dirt road through the canyon to the moist mini-spring area. Look for
American redstart, Zone-tailed Hawk (lurking in the trees along the
creek bed), Gray Hawk, etc. You can also expect 4 or 5 Thick-billed
Kingbird (near the beginning of the canyon, and at the end of the canyon
where the road enters private property), Bell's vireos, Trogons, etc.
