The suggestion that the bird in question might be a Hutton's is valid, but
this was definitely a Solitary: Spectacled eyes, white wing bars, grey
with yellow wash on the sides (I saw it in good light) and, most
importantly, it was singing is characteristic, phrased song with pauses.
There *were* Hutton's at Camp Long as well yesterday...
