Because we Yanks can't speak the King's (Queen's?) English. But that's
O.K., 'cause I like "Mew Gull" rather than "Common Gull", etc. Now, if
we could just get back to Marsh Hawks and Gallinules, rather than the
"King's" Harriers and Moorhens....
