Hi Tweeters,

A couple of weeks ago I was sitting on beach at Hammersly Inlet as the tide
went out. The cahnnel is narrow and teh tide moves ut quite quickly. The
Glaucous-winged gulls would walk along the edge of the water, run to water
spouts, dig out a clam, take it in its beak and take off. Hovering at twenty
to thirty feet, it would drop the clam and which would break on the rocks.
The gull would drop down and finish off the clam.
