Gene Hunn is doing a Birdathon trip later this month (an "Owl Prowl").
One small way of saying "thanks" to Gene for his years of devotion to
the hotline (and birding in general) might be to support his Birdathon
effort with a pledge. You could simply pledge an amount you want to
contribute, or you could make him work for it by pledging an amount
per bird he and his team see/find/have. The blurb describing Gene's
birdathon trip did not mention a target total, but if memory serves it
was something like 100 species last year. Money raised by the
birdathon goes to support the conservation and education programs of
Seattle Audubon. Gene's e-mail address is hunn at u.washington.edu
It would probably be a good idea to include your address and phone #.
