Three pairs of Arctic Terns have returned to the Everett waterfront.
One pair is on eggs in the yacht club overflow parking lot (same
place as last year) near the west end of 13th Street, between Puget
Sound Truck Lines and Owens Marine. The lot gate is locked (for
which the Port should be complimented), but the birds can be seen at
the far (north) end of the lot along the right hand side of the
center concrete parking bumpers. If I understood John Flavin
correctly, the other two pairs are trying to nest near the heliport
at the south end of the Navy base. There may also be scattered
attempts by Caspians to nest there.
