Subject: Re: tufted puffins on Protection Is this year? Date: May 31 17:29:45 1995 From: Jon Anderson - anderjda at dfw.wa.gov
The only 'definitive' resource I'm aware of for nesting seabirds at Protection Island is the Catalog of Washington Seabird Colonies by Steve Speich and Terry Wahl. US Fish & Wildlife Service/Minerals Management Service Biological Report 88(6), August, 1989.
I don't know about this year. Contact Ulrich Wilson, USFWS up in Sequim. The Nisqually NWR folks at 360-753-9467 can give you his phone number.
