Went up to Tokeland yesterday to see what it's like on a rising
tide at sunset.

No bar-tailed godwit. Hmmm, only one MARBLED godwit in the marina
area, though I saw a flock flittering in the distance. Apparently
they have alternate roost sites. Not really much of interest,
a greater yellowlegs and whimbrel in the marina, along with a
bunch of common loons, western grebes, a few red-breasted merganser
and all that kinda normal stuff. Some flocks of sanderling
flying over the mudflats.

Wasn't really birding, but out specifically to photograph the
marbled godwit, so I picked on the one lonely fella for a couple of
hours. It had a bum foot but seemed to be feeding reasonably well.

There were probably other loon/grebe species about but I wasn't
paying all that much attention.

The marina people own an obnoxious bean goose which is a bit of
a beach-bunny. Seems to like sunbathing and splurching in the
mud and saltwater, alternating with coming up to you and making
obnoxious noises right in your face.
