I've pretty much stayed out of the discussion concerning I-640. However,
can someone tell me PLEASE, why the discussion almost NEVER includes a
mention of the biological strip mining of the northern Pacific Ocean that
occurred for over a decade by nations from the western Pacific rim???

While we were seeing declines in our salmon and blaming ourselves, our own
fish were being stolen out of the Pacific waters by "squid" fishermen and
then being sold back to us as farm grown salmon from Chile.

The fishery is no longer active because there ISN'T ANYTHING left. And
we're blaming ourselves for the WHOLE thing. We should be for not stopping
them in the first place.

I questioned my own Congressman, Doc Hastings, about this and all I got was
the blabber that we need to change the ESA to take humans into the
equation.
