Quite a lively discussion going here I'd say.

I, as another "lurker", have enjoyed the variety of topics and threads
discussed. Am an average birder, and take great pleasure in observing our
feathered friends in our combined world, such as the red-tail I watched on a
fence 6 feet from my car at Boeing-Auburn this morning. Hearing about others'
similar experiences is both entertaining and educational, and helps soothe the
rattled nerves from what we see happening at the hands of our miscreant
politicians who claim to represent us.

I like the way the list is running now, with the broad mix of bird/wildlife
related topics and political action updates, as we all need to have ready access
to information of what the other side is doing as well.

How's it go .... "All work and no play, makes Jack a dull boy" ? ;-)

On a birding note, I'll add that over the past week have been seeing regularly a
falcon of some sort (I cant get a good look at it while driving) in the vicinity
of the Auburn Boeing plant. I've seen it in the morning tween 6:30 and 8:00, on
the street light at main entry to the plant, and on the wires along the
interurban trail. It is smaller than the aformentioned red-tail, so guess it
could be a peregrine, but was unaware of any in that vicinity. I'd invite any
south-enders with free mornings to check it out.
