I heard a similar story told by Doug Cheeseman down in California. Doug leads
Cheeseman Eco Tours around the world and teaches at DeAnza College. I think
he saw this in Africa with a harrier sp. and perhaps a tern.
Just think how much larger A. C. Bent's Life Histories of North America Birds
would have been if he had been on the net to gather stories!
