I just now got a misplaced batch of 254 messages from last week. Getting
to Spencer Is. is like getting to OZ from Kansas. It's due east of the
Everett Water Treatment Facility (aka "sewage ponds") which is on Smith
Island in the Snohomish River delta due east of Everett and south of
Marysville. If you're approaching from the south, exit I-5 at Marine
View Dr. in Everett and follow the arterial as it skirts the nw edge of
town, then get on Highway 99 heading for Marysville at the bridge over
the main Snohomish R. channel, exiting 99 from the right lane onto Smith
Island. Go right to a Y, then left past a boat storage facility, then
right when the main road swings left and over I-5. Continue to the Water
Treatment Facility headquarters and a bit beyond to a parking lot. Walk
due east to the new bridge onto Spencer Is.
