Subject: Canon image-stablizing binocs

I just tried those Canon image-stabilizing binoculars (yes, they're 12x) at the
local camera shop. They were nice, but: you focus first, then stabilize. So,
hands aquiver, I focussed on the trees across the street, then pressed the magic
button. Wow. Everything smoothed out, but I could then see that I could have
focussed a little more sharply. So - release magic button, quiver, quiver,
attempt to focus... That way lies madness. Haven't decided what situation these
binoculars would be really great for, but there must be one. By the way, they
require 2 AA batteries, which is pretty manageable.
