A brief bit of chumming a few moments ago yielded a flock of 2 crows and
23 gulls on the lawn north of Scarpelli Hall. The gulls were as follows:
Glaucous-winged sorts--18, one subadult, one near adult, the rest adults
California--5 adults
Herring--One nice adult bird, jet black tips, bright yellow eye really
visible
Stille more gulls (about the same number) were further down the lawn.
Another herring gull was seen on the drive in this morning near the Hudson's
Bay ballfields.
